Meandering thru medieval towns, one after another, gives one a sense of touching the distant past.  I sense I’ve returned to reality by sheltering from the cold and wet atmosphere in a warmly lit stone tavern.   Other souls shuffle in and out as I count off seconds of my exposure, since I’ve now set up inside the place, without permission from the myriad of young helpers scurrying about, immortalizing their essence, as well as that of the patrons grabbing they’re quick espressos.   Job finished; I shuffle out joining the masses grinding down cobblestones with my shoe leather, looking for the next possibility. ms
