JUXTAPOSITIONS. Don’t you just love them? I do, and that was what moved me to get out the camera for this image, besides the nice soft light of the setting sun giving me the proper light to work with. (You will seldom see an image I’ve made in mid-day sunlight.) I was in Lucca, which is in the northeast of the Tuscany region, just south of Massa- Carrara and north of Pisa There is an interesting ‘square’ there, which is a circle. Most business are higher end restaurants, but some parts of the square still a little run down. This effect offers us the possibility of seeing the before and after of getting a place fixed up for business. Of course, you don’t want it TOO fixed up, or you’d lose the feel for which I go. ms
