One could say I survive more on dramatic light than food and drink while
traveling. This was another image created on ‘miracle day’ in Burano- the
one that I made over 6 great photos in just one day. In fact, I should
call it ‘miracle trip’, as the complete series has not been equaled by any
of the other 46 trips to varying locations around the world... yet.
“Tuscany II” and “Australia / New Zealand” got close in quantity, but not
in quality. I had over 50 photos for my set of 14 sponsors to choose
from, whereas they usually choose from about 30 ‘award winners’. The fact
that is was Venice had a lot to do with the quantity, but the inclement
weather made more of the difference in quality. (The very fact that I had
so many good images was the deciding factor to allow 6 more people to get
in on my sponsorship program. Originally, I had pre-sold all eight
offered, and that was months before departing on the trip.)
