To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in recommendation of Valerie Seewald. Valerie was nanny
to our daughter Katja from September 2008-August 2009. When Valerie joined us,
Katja was 1.5 years old and had switched nannies a few times (due to maternity
leaves, school schedules, etc) so I was worried about the transition to another
new nanny. However, Valerie and Katja got along well from the beginning, making
the transition as easy and as smooth as possible. She was very respectful of my
philosophies towards raising Katja, and always took immense interest and pride
in Katja. I always felt completely comfortable with her driving Katja to play
groups/lessons, and she always made sure that Katja had an outside activity each
day to keep her stimulated.
They often painted things, read books, made crafts, cooked, went to the
playground, etc; I never worried that Katja was bored. Additionally, often
travel for work, and Valerie was amazingly flexible with her hours, which was
instrumental in allowing me to work this job and know that Katja was well cared
for. Finally, Valerie has always been very helpful around the house, always
willing to help out with household chores that I neither expected nor asked her
to do.
When Valerie started working for us Katja was on a waiting list for pre-school.
While I believe she needs to interact with other children and develop in a
school setting, we will greatly miss the care that Valerie has provided her.
Please feel free to contact me at xxx for any other information.
Sincerely,
Gretchen,
