The Seewald's believe in making a difference in the
world. Like Michael learned in the boy scouts, 'always leave a place
in better condition than you found it'. While this mostly referred
to trash in an area, there is no reason you can't apply this thought to
the world in general.
This they do by donating a percentage of their income to an
organization named "World Vision". (The organization only uses some
6% of it's income to run the company, with all other proceeds going
directly to those whom it is intended... very needy children in very poor countries.
This is about 30 to 40% less than similar organizations, an important part
to remember, so you dollar goes for the intended purpose, to help needy
kids.)
World Vision helps kids around the world, many of whom would possibly
die, by taking them in and clothing, feeding and educating them.
This at only a cost of $26 per child per month.
The Seewald's had sponsored up to 10 children in
countries such as Peru, the Philippines, Africa, etc.. Their goal
was to sponsor 12 children with
each new gallery they opened. Times have been a little tough recently,
hopefully when the things pick up they can start sponsoring more kids.
To find out how you too can make all the difference in the world to
some child around the world, go to the
World
Vision website...
