Patio, Mykonos, Greece, '97 I owed $20 for my sparse room at the "youth hostel" - the Visa was maxed, and the ATM's weren't working! I continued working, wondering how the Lord would do it this time!? "Are you a commercial photographer?" an older man asked as I worked a scene -see 'Green Door' above- later that day. "Come to the Hotel Belvedere after 11 p.m., I might hire you." As I was retired from commercial work, but a bit needy at this time, I decided to 'come out of said retirement'. Later that night, after everyone I asked for directions replied, "never heard of it", I wondered if the old man was pulling my leg. But, after more searching, I finally found a beautiful new five star hotel overlooking the city! "That's too much," he'd said the next day
after thinking over my offer for his photographic needs. "Let's trade then,
room and board for 10 days," I blurted out! "Ok," he agreed.
Wow, a $200 a night luxury suite, all you can eat buffet breakfast, lunch,
and an exquisite dinner overlooking all of Mykonos, included.
Captured this new "best seller" the day before leaving the island.
