Sponsored image by multi-sponsor "Deli Ghosts, Venice, Italy" Working every nook and cranny in Venice (well lots of them anyway as there are thousands), I constantly ran across interesting shops. At first, I just noticed this was a popular haunt at lunch time with the locals, meaning it would be a great place to grab some good deli food at reasonable prices when I got hungry. The place grew on me as possible subject matter about the third time I walked by it in about as many weeks. (The other times being too crowded to see many of the features that now intrigued my artistic senses). A similar image, created seconds earlier, was juried into the San Diego Int’l Photo Competition recently and was titled ‘Artist on break… or not?’. As I was actually in that image, it looked like I was not working. But who was running in and out of the picture to start and stop the multi-second exposures? As it was, this was the first image chosen from 55 possible choices offered to the sponsors!
