"The Tuscan
November chill is only warmed by direct sunlight. That same light, when
used properly, can warm your soul also. Or it did when I saw how
spectacular it side-lit the geraniums, old walls and iron bars of a window
that early morning.
As I worked the scene the light changed quickly. Soon,
the right side of the window was properly lit, giving me another
opportunity, albeit rare, to make two images in one mornings work. I hadn’t
planned for it to end up as a diptych (a two piece set) but as they worked
so well together, why not?
