"The woman, just over being a child herself, with her baby. Both had such a peaceful air about them as they walked by
me on a trail. Luckily they were nice enough to pose, many don't. Not that I find that many folks interesting
enough to shoot, and I don't really know what 'it' is that makes me more interested in this person over that one,
just that I know it when I see it. I think I captured the gentleness here quite well, very endearing huh? Surroundings add as
much to the scene as the subjects themselves, and finding this nice spot to pose them at nearby added a lot to the total effect/feel." ms

style of the great depression photographer Dorothea Lange, and it is strong enough
to stands on it's own as being an instant classic! (Classic image- one that is recognizable years later as one you have seen before).
I was blessed this family quickly found my intrusive camera/tripod/self invisible. It's what I strive to accomplish when I'm working,
and this is possibly the greatest example of what the end result of this studious system/behavior can accomplish.
Capturing an image that moves you the way you originally saw it, without the participants knowingly posing to
make themselves look good, is sweet music to my eyes! I love this one... what, I can't like my own work?"
