Investment Art Only one thing has beat the stock market (across the board) over the past 30 years as an investment, guess what it has been. 1. Real Estate. 2. Gold. 3. Art (paintings). The answer; none
of the above. It has been
photographic art. NOT ART (as in paintings), but again, photographic
art.
Not housing, not gold, not nada. For example, his second series, China, 1987, produced another 25 sponsored images. Pre-release, pre-trip rate was $350 on the average. NOW those same photographs (also limited to only 10) sell at a minimum of $20,000, with price increases at $10,000 per sale until they reach $50K, then jump to $100K, then $500K and finally (at this point) $1 million dollars. One of which they mentioned by name- The Three Graces, which would thus increase the value of the piece to $500,000. Keep tuned.
