This gentleman was promoting a play in the middle of the old city.  He was too interesting not to want to photograph, don't you think? Well, he wanted money to be photographed and that's against my principles.  But then again, the average person is not standing dressed in unusual garb to bring attention to themselves.  I scanned the entire block around the theatre to see if I could find an interesting background, otherwise I would not be  interested in capturing him.  I found the perfect spot and went back and negotiated a price. He held up two fingers, so I thought he wanted two Yuan.  I thought that was a pretty good price and agreed. I brought him to my spot and took a couple of shots.  Afterward I went to pay him and he went into a fit, and threw the money on the ground.  I said an agreement was an agreement, all the while the guys in the shop next store were hysterical.  I guess the two fingers stood for 'twenty Yuan'!
